I hold an MSW from the University of Southern California. I am licensed and have worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1997. My styles of interventions include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, object relations-focused and attachment, DBT, and Mindfulness-based therapies. I am also trained to provide EMDR therapy which has been shown to be very effective for many psychological issues, particularly trauma. However, although I am trained in multiple types of therapeutic approaches, my treatment services are not limited to just one type of intervention: I match the type of therapy used to each client – everyone is an individual.
My years of experience have allowed me to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups in a variety of settings and around many different issues: grief and loss, depression and anxiety, addiction and alcoholism, chronic and terminal illness, chronic pain, end-of-life, as well as many other difficult life issues. Coming from Los Angeles, I also have experience working with multiple cultures and communities.
I am constantly amazed by the human spirit and believe firmly that everyone has the ability to heal. I will offer you a compassionate and mindful presence to help you feel heard and understood. I believe you can overcome your challenges and that it does get better! Allow me the privilege of being part of your journey.
